This year went by at a lightning speed. There were some good news and some bad ones, lot of uncertainties and several times, we even questioned our luck. The weekends always felt brief, the festive seasons flew by and believe it or not, it was only a few days back when I realized that we reached at the end of the year. It was one of the busiest years! It was also the year when we got to spend more time with our family than we ever did. So all in all, it was a mixed bag like the year before. We don’t mind the ups and downs or the busy schedule but we do hope 2016 would give us more reasons to celebrate and many more precious memories.

We both love eating out and Bangalore has way too many amazing restaurants to try. But eating out with a toddler on New Years Eve has very less chance of being successful. So, we chose to celebrate the end of the year in our comfort zone, our home. There was beer, I prepared a simple meal and we finally caught up on couple episodes of Homeland.

This dessert was Arvind’s idea. I had to welcome the New Year with some sweet treat and without much preparation in advance, I was lost on ideas. As always, Arvind came to rescue! There was this packet of dates to be finished, we always have oats and nuts at home, and the pudding was ready in less than half an hour.
